Successful introduction of PeelJet

Company Weigel has utilised its worldwide experience of the unique TrackJet® technology, having lateral movements on a traversing module, together with computerised synchronisation and unique nozzle disc configuration to develop a superior system for road maintenance. 

The new development, PeelJet, was formally introduced at Intertraffic in Amsterdam at the end of March 2010. Weigel received outstanding interest in its high quality technology, as the PeelJet system can perform de-marking/delineation as well as retexturing and/ or cleaning within one vehicle.

Several Road and Highway Directorates throughout Europe further extended their interest in our friction value improvement programme by inviting us to present our cost effective solution to accident improvement on slippery roads. There has also been strong media interest in our technology.

Along with this, our unique demarking/delineation programme has continued to create an increasing and high interest. In this year, so far Weigel has worked in Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. The two machines available for contracting services have already been booked for work to be undertaken in Luxembourg, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, France across a range of services and further interest is expected. All work was carried out as planned and the authorities were impressed and satisfied by the high standard of work and efficiency of the PeelJet system, with authorities commenting on the fact that..

As a result of this work many contractors are increasingly interested in purchasing their own machine. We work with such companies to develop their own market with local authorities and the experience to take full control once a machine is purchased.
